Seminarium o wykorzystaniu metody alternatywnej do wykrywania aktywnej toksyny botulinowej

Welcome to a lunch webinar on evaluation of animal-free methods

The Swedish 3Rs Center welcomes you to a lunch webinar on Monday April 11, 12:00-13:00 CET. We have invited Malin Eriksson from the National Veterinary Institute (SVA) to talk about method evaluation from the agency’s perspective. As an illustrative example, Malin will use a chemical method to detect active botulinum toxin by mass spectrometry. This method has been evaluated and implemented as a routine method at SVA and thus replaced the previously used mouse bioassay.

During the webinar you will also meet Kaisa Askevik from the Swedish 3Rs Center. She is the new national contact point for the PARERE-network. This network should provide EURL ECVAM, the EU Reference Laboratory for alternatives to animal testing, with information from national regulators on the potential regulatory relevance of methods submitted for validation. You will also get the opportunity to ask questions and discuss method evaluation.
